Waterproofing is a key concern when it comes to bamboo furniture. Our products are coated with NC varnish, which protects them from water damage in the short term. However, it's important to note that prolonged exposure to high humidity and moisture can still lead to mold growth on bamboo. The NC varnish used in our products is a safe, widely-used furniture coating that has minimal impact on people and pets, as the majority of solvents evaporate during the extensive 2-month production-to-delivery process.

If you're considering painting your bamboo furniture, it's important to note that the process is only suitable for products made entirely of bamboo. Some of our offerings include MDF components that cannot be painted.
